Introduction

Malcolm Ashman originally trained as a graphic designer but started painting very soon afterwards, developing his very individual style in oils and watercolour. He has exhibited widely in solo and group exhibitions and has published many illustrated books including 'Alice in Wonderland' and 'Alice through the Looking Glass', the illustrations for which were both subjects of solo exhibitions.

Malcolm's paintings of contemporary landscapes capture the vastness of skies and the textures of the land through his mastery of paint. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Royal Society of British Artists, and paints at the Widdecombe Studios in Bath.
