Philip's powerfully simple and elegant vessels engage and enhance the inherent qualities of bronze as a material in its own right.

Using varied patinating techniques he individually colours and finishes each sand-casted piece, polishing the rim until it gleams to expose the natural beauty and colours of the bronze.

As a former architect / designer, reference to the constructed environment is inevitable. Paradoxically though Philip is most powerfully inspired by the landscape and sense of place of the Herefordshire / Welsh borders where he lives and works.

Since his first collection in 2001, his work has been widely exhibited across the country. The bronze vessels are complemented by an exquisite range of furniture, each piece individually designed to make the very best of the grain, colour, texture and patina of the wood Philip chooses to use.
